Jimmy Odom, a Service Consultant here at Patty Peck Honda, has been a committed employee for the past four years. He has lived in Brandon his whole life, and has twin daughters and a one-year-old son. Not only is he familiar with fatherhood, but his knowledge of cars is notably impressive.

His love for cars allows him to truly appreciate what he does everyday. While overseeing the service department, he also assists customers with their service needs. Since Patty Peck has cars, SUVs and trucks, he uses his expertise to figure out the best way to inspect and examine the vehicles. He gets to see an array of Hondas, from the 1990s to the 2010 models. It’s safe to say that Odom knows a thing or two about Honda parts.

Odom is a very dedicated employee; he is at the department from 7:30am to 6:00pm on weekdays and goes in on Saturday once a month. The atmosphere at Patty Peck Honda is what he enjoys most about his job. He says most of the technicians are young and are bursting with energy. It keeps the day exciting and they have a lot of fun working together. “It’s a great staff to work with. The day goes by quickly being around these guys.” Odom surely isn’t bored while he is on the clock, either. He says they see about 2,000 to 2,500 customers a month. But that number is about to grow. The Service Department is now open from 8-5 on Saturday!

Working in service gives him a challenge, too. If a car has a problem, his job is to find a solution. He says it feels rewarding to fix and improve the customers’ cars. But that’s not all that makes Odom proud. There are three Certified Master Technicians in the state, and Patty Peck Honda has two! Odom says, “We are very pleased about this high honor.” He makes sure each Honda is handled with care and gets a complete inspection every time. As an added bonus, each car that gets serviced also receives a free car wash and vacuum. With so much Honda knowledge and skill in the service department, there’s no doubt that your car is in good hands.
